Ocean Jasper is a rare and highly collectible material found only in Madagascar. Different deposits, commonly referred to as “veins,” have produced their own distinctive colours, patterns and formations, with older material becoming increasingly sought after by collectors.

This piece is old stock 6th Vein material, displaying the beautiful orbicular formations that Ocean Jasper is so well known for.

The story of Ocean Jasper itself is fascinating. Its famous deposits are located in remote areas of northwestern Madagascar, and some of the original material was famously accessible only by boat and worked around low tide.
