Amazonite is a beautiful blue-green variety of Microcline Feldspar, loved for its gorgeous colours ranging from soft aqua and turquoise through to deeper blue-green and vibrant teal.

It commonly forms in granitic pegmatites as larger crystals or masses, often alongside minerals such as Quartz. Many pieces display beautiful natural white, cream or smoky patterns running through the blue-green stone, giving every piece its own unique appearance.

Its distinctive colour is linked to trace amounts of lead and water within the crystal structure rather than copper, despite its often turquoise-like appearance.

Metaphysically, Amazonite is believed to be a stone of communication, confidence and emotional balance. It is associated with speaking your truth, calming the mind and encouraging harmony and is commonly connected with the Heart and Throat Chakras.
