Amethyst

Amethyst is a beautiful purple variety of Quartz, loved for its incredible range of colour from delicate lilac and soft lavender through to rich, deep violet.

Its purple colouring is created by trace amounts of iron within the Quartz combined with natural irradiation as the crystal forms. Amethyst can occur as individual crystals, sparkling clusters and beautiful crystal-lined geodes.

Chevron Amethyst is a distinctive variety featuring natural bands of purple Amethyst and white or Clear Quartz. These layers form striking V-shaped, zigzag and chevron patterns, giving every piece its own unique markings.

Both varieties are naturally beautiful and are popular for crystal collections, jewellery, carvings and polished display pieces.
