Collection: Aventurine

Aventurine, a distinctive variety of quartz, is celebrated for its unique shimmering effect known as "aventurescence," caused by tiny, platy mineral inclusions that reflect light. While most famously recognised for its lush green hues, typically attributed to chrome-bearing Fuchsite (a type of mica), aventurine's palette extends to a surprising array of colours. It can also be found in vibrant red and orange tones, where inclusions of hematite or goethite are responsible for the colour, as well as softer shades of yellow, blue, brown, and even grey or cream-white. This wide spectrum of colours, combined with its characteristic sparkle, makes aventurine a popular choice for various ornamental and jewellery applications.
