Collection: Bloodstone

Bloodstone is a striking variety of Chalcedony, recognised for its rich, deep green colouring with natural spots, flecks and patches of red or reddish-brown.

The distinctive red markings are created by iron oxide minerals, particularly Hematite, and are responsible for the stone's dramatic name. Depending on the material, Bloodstone can also contain other natural mineral inclusions, including occasional sparkling Pyrite, adding even more character to individual pieces.

Every piece is different, with some showing bold red markings against dark forest green while others feature more subtle earthy patterns and variations.

Metaphysically, Bloodstone has traditionally been associated with strength, courage and protection. It is believed to encourage confidence, resilience and grounding and is commonly connected with the Root and Heart Chakras.
