Natural Citrine is a beautiful and relatively rare variety of Quartz, loved for its warm, natural colouring ranging from very pale champagne and soft lemon-yellow through to golden honey, smoky yellow and warm orange-brown tones.

Unlike much of the Citrine commonly available on the market, which is created by heat-treating Amethyst, true Natural Citrine develops its colour naturally through geological processes within the Earth. Its colouring is associated with iron within the Quartz and the conditions present as the crystal forms.

Natural Citrine can occur as individual crystal points, clusters and alongside other Quartz varieties, including Smoky Quartz. High-quality natural specimens are particularly sought after by collectors because genuine Natural Citrine is considerably less common than treated material.

Metaphysically, Citrine is often known as a stone of abundance, confidence and positivity. It is believed to encourage motivation, creativity and personal power and is commonly associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra.
