Larimar is a truly beautiful and rare blue variety of Pectolite, famous for its incredible colouring that can look like sunlight moving through the waters of the Caribbean.

Found only in the Dominican Republic, Larimar ranges from soft sky blue and pale aqua through to vibrant turquoise and deeper ocean blues, often with beautiful white marbling, waves and cloud-like patterns running throughout the stone. Its distinctive blue colouring is associated with copper within the mineral.

Because Larimar comes from one limited area of the world, good-quality material with strong blue colouring and beautiful natural patterning is especially sought after by collectors and jewellery lovers.

Metaphysically, Larimar is often known as the “Dolphin Stone” or “Atlantis Stone” and is believed to carry a wonderfully soothing and peaceful energy. It is associated with calm, emotional balance, clear communication and self-expression and is commonly connected with the Throat Chakra. It is also traditionally associated with the energy of the ocean and the Divine Feminine.
