Collection: Malachite

Malachite is an unmistakable copper carbonate mineral, loved for its incredible natural shades of green ranging from bright, vibrant tones through to rich emerald and deep forest greens.

One of the most beautiful features of Malachite is its extraordinary natural patterning. Depending on how it forms, it can display sweeping bands, concentric rings, waves, swirls and striking bull’s-eye patterns. It can also occur in beautiful botryoidal, fibrous and stalactitic formations, creating completely unique specimens.

Malachite forms in the oxidised zones of copper deposits, with its intense green colouring coming from its high copper content. It has been valued for thousands of years and historically used for ornamental pieces, jewellery, carvings, pigments and as a source of copper.

Metaphysically, Malachite is often known as a stone of transformation. It is believed to offer protection, encourage personal growth and support emotional balance and positive change. It is commonly associated with the Heart Chakra.

From natural specimens and silky crystalline formations to polished freeforms, towers, spheres and carvings, every piece of Malachite has its own incredible colouring and patterning.
