Collection: Prehnite

Prehnite is a beautiful calcium aluminium silicate mineral, best known for its soft, almost luminous shades of pale green, apple green and yellow-green. It can also occur in colourless, white, grey and occasionally warmer yellow tones.

It commonly forms within cavities and fractures in volcanic rocks, often alongside Zeolites, Calcite and other minerals. Prehnite can develop as rounded botryoidal formations, crusts and masses, as well as beautiful crystalline specimens. When polished, its translucent quality can give the stone a gorgeous soft, glowing appearance.

Some Prehnite also contains natural inclusions of minerals such as Epidote, creating striking dark green or black needle-like formations and patterns within the stone.

Metaphysically, Prehnite is believed to have a gentle, calming energy associated with peace, emotional balance and inner harmony. It is often connected with intuition, personal growth and a deeper connection with nature and is commonly associated with the Heart Chakra.
