Collection: Sepatarian/Dragons Stone

Septarian, sometimes known as Dragon Stone or Dragon Egg Stone, is a fascinating natural stone known for its incredible cracked and web-like patterns in earthy shades of golden yellow, cream, brown, grey and black.

Septarian began forming millions of years ago as sedimentary concretions. As these formations dried and cracked, the spaces were gradually filled with different minerals. Septarian commonly contains golden-yellow Calcite, brown or darker Aragonite and a limestone-rich matrix, creating the dramatic natural patterns that make every piece completely unique.

When polished, the contrasting mineral-filled cracks can resemble dragon skin or the shell of a dragon's egg, which is where the popular name “Dragon Stone” comes from. Some pieces also contain natural cavities filled with sparkling Calcite crystals and Druzy formations.

Metaphysically, Septarian is believed to be a wonderfully grounding and strengthening stone. It is associated with confidence, patience, stability and feeling connected to the Earth, and is commonly linked with the Root and Solar Plexus Chakras.
