Collection: Tourmaline

Tourmaline is a fascinating mineral group known for its incredible variety of colours. It can occur in black, green, pink, red, blue, yellow and beautiful multicoloured crystals, with some individual crystals displaying several colours at once.

Rather than being a single mineral, Tourmaline is a group of closely related boron silicate minerals with complex compositions. One of the most familiar varieties is Black Tourmaline, or Schorl, recognised by its deep black colouring and naturally striated crystal formations.

Tourmalinated Quartz is a beautiful natural combination of Quartz containing needle-like or rod-shaped inclusions of Tourmaline. Black Tourmalinated Quartz is particularly striking, with dark Tourmaline crystals appearing suspended inside Clear or milky Quartz. Every piece develops its own unique arrangement of lines, needles and inclusions.

Metaphysically, Tourmaline is traditionally associated with protection, grounding, balance and strength. Different colours have their own associations, with Black Tourmaline especially connected with grounding and protection. Tourmalinated Quartz is believed to combine these qualities with the clarity and amplifying energy traditionally associated with Quartz.
