Collection: Turquoise

Turquoise is my absolute favourite stone and one I have always been incredibly drawn to. With its unmistakable shades of sky blue, blue-green, aqua and turquoise, often crossed with beautiful natural matrix, every piece has its own character.

Turquoise is a hydrated copper aluminium phosphate mineral that typically forms in dry, arid regions where copper-rich groundwater moves through surrounding rock. Its beautiful blue colouring comes primarily from copper, while variations in its mineral composition and surrounding host rock can create greener tones and the distinctive brown, black or golden matrix seen in many varieties.

Turquoise has been treasured for thousands of years and has a long history in jewellery, carvings and decorative pieces across many different cultures.

Metaphysically, Turquoise is traditionally associated with protection, wisdom, communication and emotional balance. It is believed to encourage confidence and honest self-expression and is commonly connected with the Throat Chakra.

From beautiful natural specimens and polished stones to handcrafted jewellery, Turquoise will always have a very special place in my collection — it is, without a doubt, my absolute favourite stone.
