A beautifully unusual combination of Almandine Garnet, Anthophyllite and Cordierite, polished into a gorgeous heart-shaped stone.

Deep burgundy Almandine Garnets are scattered throughout the dark matrix, contrasting beautifully against the incredible fibrous flashes of Anthophyllite. When moved in the light, the Anthophyllite comes alive with iridescent flashes of blue, silvery blue and subtle green and gold tones.

The combination of rich Garnet and shimmering fibres makes this such an interesting piece — the photos really don't capture how beautiful the flash is when you move it in the light.

It is called a soapstone because of its smooth carved shape, rather than referring to the mineral soapstone.
