These beautiful Lotus Flower Incense Burners are handmade in Nepal by local Nepalese artisans.

I source these directly from a wonderful company in Nepal that supports fair trade and women’s empowerment. I absolutely love supporting them – they have such beautiful products, all handmade with so much care and tradition behind them.

Each incense burner is handcrafted from terracotta clay in the shape of a beautiful open Lotus Flower, with individually formed outer petals creating the gorgeous Lotus design.

There are four holes in the centre, with slightly different sized openings designed to accommodate different sizes of stick incense.

The lovely wide Lotus shape also helps catch the ash as your incense burns, making it both beautiful and practical.

A Little About Incense & the Lotus

Burning incense has an important place within many Buddhist traditions. Incense may be used as an offering, during meditation and spiritual practice, or simply to help create a peaceful and mindful space.

The Lotus Flower is also deeply symbolic within Buddhism. Growing from muddy water before emerging into a beautiful flower, it is traditionally associated with purity, spiritual awakening and enlightenment.

As each piece is individually handmade, there may be slight variations in shape, colouring and finish. These little differences are part of the beauty and character of a genuinely handmade piece.
