This is such a beautiful example of high-grade 6th Vein Orbicular Ocean Jasper.

This sphere has a gorgeous softer mix of natural colours and patterns, but it’s the beautiful crystal-filled pockets that really make this piece special. The sparkling crystals contrast beautifully against the polished Ocean Jasper, catching the light and revealing lovely little details as you turn the sphere.

I purchased this old-stock material from a wholesaler in 2020 and have had it tucked away ever since. I’m finally releasing a small handful from my stash, with four more pieces currently listed.

A Little About 6th Vein Ocean Jasper

Ocean Jasper is a rare variety of chalcedony from Madagascar, instantly recognisable for the extraordinary orbicular formations that can appear as circles, rings and little eye-like patterns throughout the stone.

Different deposits, commonly referred to as “veins,” produced their own distinctive combinations of colour, pattern and formation. High-grade older material with strong, well-defined orbs is particularly desirable amongst Ocean Jasper collectors.

Metaphysically, Ocean Jasper is often known as a “Stone of Harmony and Abundance.”

It is believed to encourage joy, optimism and emotional balance while inspiring creativity and personal growth. Traditionally associated with prosperity and good fortune, it is also believed to help welcome positive opportunities and encourage confidence when moving through periods of change.

Ocean Jasper is commonly connected with the Heart, Throat and Solar Plexus Chakras, linking it with compassion, communication, confidence and spiritual awareness.

A really gorgeous collector’s sphere, especially for anyone who loves the highly orbicular Ocean Jasper material. Once my little stash of these older pieces is gone, they will be incredibly difficult for me to replace.
