Mālā, Japa Mālā with Rhodochrosite, Garnet, Smoky Quartz and Sunstone beads with a Nepalese Silver Guru Bead and a silky tassel

Hand-knotted with care, this full Japa Mālā features 108, 8mm semiprecious beads of Rhodochroscite, Sunstone, faceted Garnet, and Smoky Quartz. Hypoallergenic TierraCast spacers, with a stunning handmade Nepalese silver guru bead serves as the perfect focal point. Finished with a soft, silky tassel. Whether worn for spiritual practice or simply as a unique piece of jewellery, it carries both beauty and meaning.

Beware of Rhodonite beads being sold as Rhodochrosite, Rhodochrosite is a rare and beautiful mineral, but many sellers mislabel the more common Rhodonite beads as Rhodochrosite to boost prices.

Always ask for clear photos and verification before buying.

Each Mālā is handmade by myself and will come in its own hand stamped Cotton Bag

Rhodochrosite is said to be a stone of love, compassion, and emotional healing, radiating warm shades of pink with delicate white banding. Known as the “Stone of the Compassionate Heart,” it is believed to open the heart chakra, encourage self-love, and gently release past wounds. Its soothing energy and natural beauty make it said to be both a powerful healer and a stunning addition to any crystal collection.

Smoky Quartz is believed to be a grounding and protective crystal, known for its gentle yet powerful energy. Its warm, earthy tones are said to be believed to help dissolve negativity, promote emotional calm, and bring clarity during challenging times. A beautiful ally for balance and stability, it’s perfect for both spiritual practice and everyday wear.

Garnet is said to be a stone of passion, strength, and vitality, radiating a deep, rich red that speaks to the heart. Also believed to be known for its grounding and protective energies, it inspires confidence and courage while encouraging love and devotion. A timeless gem, garnet is as beautiful in jewellery as it is powerful in spirit.

Sunstone: It is said to be a Beacon of Good Luck and Inner Radiance. Sunstone is believed to attract good luck and fortune while revitalizing all the chakras. This crystal nurtures a positive disposition, enhances intuition, and encourages the authentic self to radiate with joy. It dispels fear, eases stress, and boosts vitality, bringing forth a brighter, more optimistic outlook on life.

Each  Mālā is an individual creation by myself. No two are the same.  Some may look alike but, due to the nature of natural stone and wood, each bead is unique thus making your special creation one of a kind.
The best way to choose your Mālā and its beads is  by your intuition and what your heart is drawn to.

Your  Mālā can be used for meditation, reflection, a connection to the stones you choose or just to wear as a beautiful piece of jewelry.

Mālā is usually made of 108 beads and a guru bead. This enhances the practice of japa meditation (also called mantra meditation) by keeping count of the number of times a mantra is chanted.  Mālā can be made with fewer beads, such as 18, 27 and 54.

The number of beads in a  Mālā is associated with the aim of japa. A Mālā with 27 beads is used for attaining spiritual progress, while a Mālā with 108 beads is used to achieve fulfillment. The number, 108, has spiritual significance as it is believed that 108 energy lines converge to form anahata, the heart chakra.

One way to Meditate with your Mālā is to Sit straight, keeping the spine erect. Keep the eyes closed.  Hold the mala in the right hand. Let it rest on the second and third fingers. Use the thumb to bring down each bead starting with the Guru bead while chanting your chosen mantra.

Ultimately, the Mālā becomes what the wearer wants it to be. You fill the energy of the beads and gemstones, with your thoughts, your hopes, and dreams. Since stones and crystals absorb energy from you and your surroundings, it is recommended that you cleanse and charge your Mālā from time to time. You can use sage or Palo Santo to cleanse it or leave your mala out in the full moonlight.

Hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them.
