Mookaite is a beautiful Australian gemstone found in Western Australia, particularly around the Mooka Creek area from which its name originates. It is a silica-rich material associated with ancient radiolarian sediments and is loved for its incredible variety of colours and patterns.

Mookaite can range from rich burgundy and maroon reds through to softer pastel reds, mustard yellows, creams, whites and occasional purplish tones. The colours and patterns vary enormously from piece to piece, making every Mookaite sphere completely unique.
