Mookaite Jasper Sphere

Beautiful Pastel Mookaite Sphere

A gorgeous high-grade Mookaite sphere with the most beautiful soft, pastel colouring.

This one is a little different from the deeper, richer colours often seen in Mookaite. It is predominantly creamy and pastel white, with beautiful soft red and yellow tones flowing through the stone. The combination gives it such a gentle, almost dreamy appearance.

Natural cracks, fractures and little lines run throughout the sphere, creating wonderful patterns and adding to its natural character. These are part of the stone rather than damage and make this piece completely unique.

Weight: 239g
Diameter: 6cm

Mookaite is a beautiful Australian gemstone found in Western Australia, particularly around the Mooka Creek area from which its name originates. It is a silica-rich material associated with ancient radiolarian sediments and is loved for the incredible variety of colours and patterns it can produce.

While Mookaite is often recognised for its rich reds, burgundies and mustard yellows, it can also display much softer shades of cream, white, blush, pastel red and pale yellow — just like the gorgeous colouring in this piece.
