Rare 6th Vein Orbicular Ocean Jasper Sphere – Old Stock
An absolutely stunning and increasingly hard-to-source 6th Vein Ocean Jasper Sphere from Madagascar.
I purchased this material from a wholesaler in 2020 and have had it carefully stashed away ever since. I’ve finally decided to release a handful, with only four more pieces listed.
This beautiful sphere has spectacular prominent orbs in gorgeous combinations of colour, broken up by sparkling natural druzy pockets. It is a wonderful example of why the older Orbicular Ocean Jasper material is so sought after by collectors.

A Little About 6th Vein Ocean Jasper
Ocean Jasper is a rare variety of chalcedony found in Madagascar and is famous for its extraordinary orbicular formations. Different deposits, commonly referred to as “veins,” produced distinctive combinations of colours, patterns and formations.
The circles, rings and eye-like orbs are what make this material so recognisable, while druzy cavities and botryoidal formations can add another beautiful dimension. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.
The deposits are located in remote areas of northwestern Madagascar. Some of the original Ocean Jasper locations became famous for being accessible by boat and worked around the tides, adding to the fascinating history surrounding this stone.
Metaphysically, Ocean Jasper is often known as a stone of joy, harmony and abundance.
It is believed to encourage optimism, emotional balance and creativity while helping to release negative thoughts and welcome positive change and new opportunities.
Ocean Jasper is also associated with the Heart, Throat and Solar Plexus Chakras, connecting it with compassion, communication, confidence and personal growth.
A very special piece from material I have held onto for years, and one that will be difficult for me to replace once my small collection is gone.
