Collection: Ocean Jasper

Ocean Jasper, a captivating and highly sought-after variety of orbicular jasper, is defined by its striking spherical inclusions or "orbs" that come in a breathtaking array of colors, including green, pink, red, yellow, and white, set against a contrasting background. The term "orbicular" in mineralogy describes rocks containing these spheroidal structures, which in Ocean Jasper are formed through the silicification of rhyolitic lava or tuff, with quartz and feldspar crystallizing in radial aggregates. Found predominantly along the coast of Madagascar and only accessible during low tide, its unique formation process and vibrant, often multi-colored, orb-like patterns make it a prized specimen for collectors and those drawn to its visual complexity.
